The Virginia Department of Veterans Services Presented the Award During its 2021 Virginia Women Veterans Virtual Summit

Washington, DC (July 16, 2021) – Gryphon Technologies, a transformational leader in providing digital engineering, cyber, cloud solutions, predictive analytics and technical solutions, and services to national security organizations, was recently honored by the Virginia Department of Veteran Services (VDVS) with a 2021 V3 Employer Award for its work to promote and increase the hiring of women Veterans.

Gryphon, a Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Certified Employer, was recognized for hiring 22 Virginia women Veterans in 2020, leading the Large Company category. Across the company, Gryphon employs hundreds of Veterans who comprised 26.5 percent of Gryphon’s workforce in 2020.

“Gryphon makes hiring Veterans a priority. We value and recognize their exceptional technical skills, strong work ethic, and dedication,” said Gryphon founder and CEO P.J. Braden. “Veterans are disciplined team players, organized and dependable. We are proud to provide Veterans a new career path while continuing their tradition of service to our great nation.”

“We are honored by this recognition from VDVS and V3 for our work to hire Veterans from Virginia. Women Veterans are instrumental to our success as a business, and we are proud of our world-class Veteran recruitment program that extends from hiring to retention,” said Gryphon Talent Acquisition Manager John Lees (Retired USN Command Master Chief).

The award was announced during the 2021 Virginia Women Veterans Virtual Summit held June 23 and 24. Gryphon was among four companies praised for going “above and beyond” as demonstrated by innovation or best practices that promote or increase the hiring of women veterans.

“As a woman veteran and as the Deputy Commission who oversees both the V3 and Women Veterans Programs at the Virginia Department of Veterans Services,  we are extremely appreciative of the extraordinary support these four V3 Certified Employers have shown in hiring Virginia’s women veterans,” said VDVS Deputy Commissioner Annie Walker.
